Sciatica

Sciatica is a set of symptoms including pain that is usually caused by spinal cord pressure/a pinched nerve of one of the last three spinal nerve roots that give rise to each sciatic nerve. The last three spinal nerve roots (L-3, 4, 5), forms the sciatic nerve (right and left) that goes into the buttock and down the posterior thigh (hamstrings), and then into the lower leg and foot. In addition to pain, which is sometimes severe, there may be numbness, muscular weakness, pins and needles or tingling and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. Typically, the symptoms are only felt on one side of the body.

The good news is in our office we provide effective and satisfactory relief from sciatic leg pain through conservative chiropractic care/adjustments, physical therapy, stretching exercises, massage therapy, and non-invasive acupuncture.
